Real Madrid will officially complete the signing of Brahim Diaz from Manchester City on Monday 7 January, with a deal already agreed between all parties.
It is thought that the 19-year-old will have his presentation either on the Monday or Tuesday, once he has passed his medical examinations and signed his contract.
The deal will cost Los Blancos 15 million euros, rising to 20 million with add-ons.
Diaz will sign a contract to 30 June 2025, and he will be immediately available for head coach Santiago Solari .
The playmaker will earn three-and-a-half million euros per season and will fulfil his dream of playing for Madrid , having turned down some interesting proposals in the past few days, such as an offer from Juventus .
City have known since the summer that
Diaz had no intention of renewing his contract and he has subsequently had little playing time, featuring less than he did in the 2017/18 season.
If nothing changes, Diaz will be the only arrival at Madrid this January as
Exequiel Palacios would like to stay at
River Plate for another six months, while
Rodrygo Goes will touch down in the Spanish capital ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
