Dele Alli reveals why Spurs players stay at the club

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli recently signed a new six-year contract at the club and revealed that manager Mauricio Pochettino’s philosophy is the reason why his players love playing for him.

Dele Alli was rumored to be close to joining Real Madrid in the summer transfer window as the Spanish club aimed to rebuild after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

His manager Mauricio Pochettino was also linked with a move to the vacant managerial job at Real Madrid after the club parted ways with Julen Lopetegui following a string of poor results.

Alli revealed that Pochettino is key to the squad sticking together and that he was the reason he signed the contract, “It was a big part of it [Pochettino being the manager] the club is amazing, the players as well, it’s a special bunch of boys here, everyone gets on really well.

but Poch is the one we’re working with all the time, it’s his philosophy, that is why we love playing here so when I think about signing Poch plays a big part of that.”
