Manchester United owners warn Mourinho after spats
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has been told to ‘button it’ by the club owners, the Glazer family.
United are currently contesting Mourinho’s FA charge for using foul language. The Glazer family have told him to bite his lip or he could end up damaging the club’s worldwide standing. They claim the bitter row between Mourinho and club legend Paul Scholes is ready to boil over.
With that in mind, they want the boss to keep his opinions to himself. United had fought back from 2-0 down at Old Trafford and ensured Mourinho a stay of execution after a poor run of results.
A United spokesperson said, ” We will be responding to the UEFA charge and we are reviewing our pitchside security protocols in the light of the pitch incursions at last night’s game.”
