Vipers competitive enough, asserts Martinez
Vipers SC will be hoping to launch a succesful campaign in their title defence when the first whistle for the 2018/19 goes on Friday 28th September at their refurbished St. Mary’s Stadium and head coach Javier Martinez believes he has a good enough team.
The Mexican coach says he has had enough time to look at the players he has at his disposal and after a busy preseason period, he is ready for the action.
He says on the club website that they will be able to compete on all fronts, and not just that but to play good football as well.
“I believe I have had enough time to fully assess the players that we have and I have no doubt that they are capable of helping us attain our targets. We want to compete on all fronts and make sure we play good football.” he said.
The team will be playiong host to newly promoted Ndejje University and the coach hopes for a good start to give them the momentum.
“We want to begin the season on a winning note because this will help us get going as far as we want to go. A good beginning will give us momentum,” he added.
