Immediate former Harambee Stars coach Paul Put got his stint at the helm of Guinea team off to a losing start as the Sly Nationals fell 2-0 to hosts Mauritania in Nouakchott.

The defeat went down as a revenge of sorts for the host who had tasted a 1-0 loss at hands of the Guinea early this year in a African Cup Of Nations qualifier clash.

Put replaced Ibrahima Sory Toure at the helm of the team after agreeing to take over the mantle just three months in to Kenyan task.

In Guinea, Put is in charge of a 12 man back room staff comprising of four Guineans and eight foreigners.
